Applications |
This kit is designed to compliment the General Dynamics R8000 Communications System Analyzer. Included are all components required to perform swept antenna and feedline measurements including cable fault location. The kit is also useful for Duplexer/Diplexer verification and tuning.
The kit can also be used to measure overall system sensitivity which is useful to determine the loss thru the various system components. A precision termination and a precision short is provided to verify the bridge and power divider. |

Description
The components supplied are contained in a durable plastic case. This case not only protects the components during transit from one job to another, but also helps prevent loss. The case is 10 wide x 8 5/16 deep x 3 high. All of the components shown are supplied with the kit. |
The return loss bridge covers from 5.0 Mhz to 3000 Mhz. For more information see RLB150N4B specification sheet.
Two coaxial cables are provided to connect the bridge or power divider to the R8000. The cables are labeled as to which port they are connected to on the Communications Service Analyzer and return loss bridge. The cable connectors are also the correct ones so that no adapters are required. |

The precision termination, with >40 dB directivity to 3.0 GHz and 2 watt continuous power rating, and short are used to verify that the bridge is in calibration and to determine the open/short ratio before making your measurement.
A precision power divider is included. This unit covers from DC-3.0 GHz with excellent port match and directivity and has a power rating of 5 watts. This is intended for cable distance to fault measurements using the R8000's software.
Two Type 'N' 6 dB attenuators are included to reduce the effects of the hookup cables on the return loss bridges open/short ratio when doing cable loss measurements. |
