Applications |
The primary application is the calibration of reflection measuring equipment, such as network analyzers, directional couplers or return loss bridges. The termination can also be used for terminating transmission lines for measurement purposes. One such use is measuring the power coming in from a co-located antenna. The termination is placed on the other side of an inline wattmeter. |
Description |
This instrument is constructed in a precision-machined stainless steel housing. The RFT050NM2 resistive element is thick film construction. The resistors are abrasively trimmed which provides superior long and short term stability over laser trimming. The mechanical assembly is constructed so as to be shock resistant and mechanically stable. The resistors are pre-aged to prevent long term drift over the service life of the unit. To insure the best possible wear resistance the center pin is gold plated beryllium copper. |
Quality |
To insure that high quality is maintained each unit is thoroughly inspected both mechanically and electrically. All units are aged and then retested to insure superior stability over the lifetime of the instruments. |
